CARNAVAL MIAMI PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATIN MUSIC LEGENDS
NOCHE DE CARNAVAL
February 19 to April 19, 2025.
Don’t miss the Miss Carnaval Miami Pageant, Carnaval’s Miami iconic opening event at Miami Senior High School in Little Havana. Female leaders ages 16 to 26, contestants are judged on their community involvement and talent. The Miss Carnaval Miami winner will become the 2024 goodwill ambassador of Carnaval Miami, Kiwanis Club of Little Havana and Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation and win college scholarship money and paid entry to the Miss Florida USA pageant.
Compete against in the annual Putting for Education Golf Classic at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Doral. The public is welcome, and all proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Little Havana Foundation’s scholarship fund, which awards four-year college scholarships to undergraduate students who otherwise would not have the opportunity for a higher education.
Dance the weekend away at Carnaval on the Mile, a two-day celebration of local art, music and fine dining along Miracle Mile in the heart of Coral Gables. Miracle Mile shuts down the street to vehicles to create a safe, fun promenade where you can shop, dance and eat. Visit Artist Village to check out local artists and artisan vendors selling handmade crafts, jewelry, paintings, sculptures and photography, then dance in the street to live jazz, funk and rock music.
Get ready for the annual Domino Tournament at Domino Park in Little Havana. On a typical day, Domino Park is the place to find some of the most competitive games around, but during Carnaval Miami, the tournament turns up the heat, with awards given at the end. Enjoy laid-back afternoons of laughing, eating delicious Latin food and watching friendly-but-impassioned dominoes matches. Businesses can participate by joining as a team, too.
Experience 15 blocks of music, food and fun at this annual Hispanic music festival, the largest of its kind, on Calle Ocho SW 8th Street) in Little Havana. Carnaval Miami’s marquee event features live music on multiple stages, food pavilions, folkloric performances and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
