In mid-September the public is given free entry for an entire weekend to see more than 800 heritage buildings throughout the capital that are normally off-limits.
It’s the world’s largest architectural festival, featuring walks, talks, and tours to inspire the public about the benefits of great design. Each year, a quarter of a million people take part.
Boris Johnson said, “No other city in the world brings together so well the historic and the new, or can delight the eye with a range of styles from Corinthian marble to modernist steel.”
