The Proms • London

The Proms were founded in 1895. From mid-July to early September, the BBC Promenade (the Proms) offers two months of outstanding classical concerts at various upscale venues around London, centering on the Royal Albert Hall. The Proms are a significant event in British culture and to classical music lovers.

Today, the shows are organized and broadcast by the BBC. Besides concerts in the Royal Albert Hall, there are chamber music concerts at Cadogan Hall and educational and children’s events. On the Proms’ last night, there are additional Proms in the Park events across the UK.
