During two weeks a year, every June-July, Wimbledon becomes the epicenter of the sporting world as the world’s best tennis players and fans descend on this quiet village to battle for the championships. Most tickets are allocated through public ballot, with the application period beginning in August of the previous year.
Entry, however, doesn’t mean a ticket is guaranteed. If you want a showcourt ticket, it is recommended you arrive early the day before and be prepared to “queue.” Ground tickets and late entry tickets can be obtained by queueing on the day of play.
