NOVEMBER 15-22, 2020
Every November, the Miami Book Fair takes place in Downtown Miami on the campus of Miami Dade College. Founded by Books & Book, Miami’s largest indie bookstore, the annual event draws authors and literary luminaries and book fans to Miami for lectures, readings, panel discussions, and the Street Fair. “Evenings With” is a ticketed prelude series to the weekend, offering readings and question and answer sessions with National Book Award Winners and Finalists in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
An array of books are featured: fiction and non-fiction, from graphic novels to ‘zines, comic books, children’s books, cookbooks, poetry, political books, vintage books, and more. The literary celebration is made even more interesting by the Fair’s multi-ethnic population, so you’ll hear authors reading their books in English, Spanish, French and Kreyol. “The Porch” is the Book Fair’s open-air stage where there is jazz, soul, flamenco and bossa nova. Visitors can taste an array of international foods at the kiosks.
