2025 SCHEDULE
The National Polo Center (NPC) enables the United States Polo Association to showcase its tournaments, develop American players, and sustain an environment that will retain and attract new players through the promotion of excellence. First-rate facilities: eight fields, stadium, restaurants, clubhouse, social club, swimming pool, gym, and tennis courts create the hub in Wellington, Florida for world-class equestrian competition.
1/8 – 1/26 JoeBarry Memorial The Joe Barry Memorial was founded in 2005 in honor of Joe Barry, who passed away in 2002. Inducted into the Polo Hall of Fame in 1999, his major wins included six U.S. Open Polo Championship titles, three USPA Gold Cup titles, and the 1971 Coronation Cup in England.
1/23 – 2/16 Ylvisaker Cup Played annually as a tribute to William T. “Bill” Ylvisaker, a true pioneer who was responsible for developing the Wellington, Florida, area into the high-goal winter polo capital of the world. The Ylvisaker Cup will serve as the second qualifying leg of four prestigious national tournaments culminating in the NPC 16-Goal Championship.
1/26 – 2/9 U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship® The most prestigious tournament in women’s polo in the United States, the 2025 U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship will be hosted by Port Mayaca Polo Club (PMPC). Preliminary games will take place at PMPC, with the final slated on U.S. Polo Assn. Field One at the National Polo Center – Wellington (NPC).
2/24 – 2/23 C.V. Whitney Cup® This is the first in a series of three 22-goal tournaments that make up the prestigious Gauntlet of Polo. First competed for in 1979, the tournament is named for C.V. (Cornelius Vanderbilt “Sonny”) Whitney, a three-time winner of the U.S. Open and son of 10-goal Hall of Famer Harry Payne Whitney.
2/24 – 3/23 USPA Gold Cup® The second 22-goal tournament of the Florida high-goal season and the second leg in the Gauntlet of Polo. The USPA Gold Cup is preceded by the C.V. Whitney Cup and will be followed by the U.S. Open Polo Championship.
3/24 – 4/20 U.S. Open Polo Championship® The most prestigious polo tournament in the United States, the U.S. Open is the apex of the Gauntlet of Polo and attracts fans and polo enthusiasts from across the United States and around the world.
4/9 – 4/13 NPC 16-Goal Championship Second edition of the NPC 16-Goal Championship is comprised of four USPA tournaments including the Joe Barry Memorial, Ylvisaker Cup, Iglehart Cup and The Outback Cup. Each tournament serves as a qualifier for the NPC 16-Goal Championship, with each winning team moving on to this final event.
4/14 – 4/25 National President’s Cup
In 2024, the debut of the National President’s Cup at the NPC venue and under a new format, will unite some of the most talented 8-goal teams in the nation. The tournament will consist of up to 14 qualifying tournaments played June 2023 – April 2024, with the winning teams playing the National President’s Cup at NPC at the end of April.
