Hattie’s is known for its’ authentic southern dishes. Founded during the Great Depression by a Louisiana-born black woman named Hattie Gray, the menu lists comfort food such as Cajun stuffed mushrooms, Jambalaya, Fried green tomatoes, and Hattie’s signature fried chicken plate. Hattie’s homey atmosphere includes red and white checkered tablecloths, staff with little-to-no turnover, and walls covered with historic images of old Saratoga. Dining options include a French Quarter Lounge for sit-down meals and a seasonal courtyard for appetizers and cocktails. Hattie’s offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday and hosts fundraisers throughout the year.
