SALT & CHAR • Saratoga Springs, NY

Looking for a great steak when visiting Saratoga Springs? Not to be missed is Salt & Char located in the Adelphi Hotel.  This carnivorous lover’s dream-come-true features a total 10 different types of steaks including several that can be shared such as the 20 oz. Chateaubriand, 24 oz. Dry Aged Porterhouse, and the steak-of-all-steaks 32-34 oz. Dry Aged Tomahawk.

You can choose from 4 different sauces to accommodate your steak and a host of outstanding sides; the Truffle Mac-n-Cheese and the Salt and Vinegar onion rings are just two of my favorites. Other entrees include; Organic Scottish Salmon, Cavatelli Bolognese, Seared Scallops to mention a few. Try the Clothesline Bacon appetizer (thick sliced with candied, maple glazed) or the Duck Confit Potato Skins (chorizo, mascarpone, smoked wild boar bacon, tarragon). Delicious!

The restaurant offers both indoor and alfresco dining. The veranda has some of the best views in Saratoga Springs. This modern American Steakhouse is helmed by internationally acclaimed Chef David Burke. Chef David’s Saltage Patented dry-aging process continually delivers the most amazing steaks in the entire region. The restaurant offers a selection from some of the finest wines in the world and was the recipient of the Wine Spectator 2018 Award of Excellence.
