Cultura • Asheville, NC

Cultura is the brainchild of celebrated Asheville chef Jacob Sessoms and Wicked Weed Co-Founder Walt Dickinson. Described as “the Medieval Times of fine dining” is all about Old World techniques, communal feasts, and celebrations.

Guests can choose one of Cultura’s dining experiences: The Bacchanal ($65pp); The Grand Bacchanal ($100pp); or Dine Like A Chef ($80pp).  When ordering one of the above, Jacob, Walt, and Cultura’s Chef de Cuisine Ben Hester send out a variety of precise small plates leveraging seasonality, NC farms and purveyors, and a playful section of family-style, large-format “Feasts”.  Also available are curated, a-la-carte small plates.

This is a whimsical, communal experience with silver chalices, mismatched dishware, brass candelabras, and theatrics. Feasts serve 2-6 people and currently include a mix of: The Swiss Chalet – bread bowl fondue; Cnl. Hester’s Bucket of Birds – smoked & fried; Racks on Racks on Racks – baby backs & strawberries; The Country Club – steak & lobster; Charleston No. Six – crabs & golden rice.

The beverage program features Wicked Weed Funkatorium’s amaro-focused craft cocktails, natural wine selections, and sour beers.

It’s a fun and celebratory fine dining experience that’s truly one-of-a-kind!
