Cora Pearl • Covent Garden, London

Coral Pearl’s location in Covent Garden is the ideal pre-theater restaurant. Brought to you by the duo that’s behind Kitty Fisher’s in Mayfair, it serves up British comfort food and kicky cocktails in a seductive townhouse location. Its moniker is inspired by the infamous Coral Pearl, a 19th-century courtesan of the French demimonde.

Depending on the season, Chef George Barson’s daily menu might include dishes such as Fish Stew & Croutons; Squash Risotto, with crispy egg and chestnuts; Cod with parsnips and cherry; or Veal Fillet with celeriac and bordelaise

TIP: Don’t miss the fries! It’s inspired accolades such as, “the dish of the year, dish of the decade, dish of the century,” by Giles Goren of The Times London.
