EAU Palm Beach Resort and Spa delivers what it promises…a memorable guest experience! My recent vacation at EAU with my husband Charles and two of our grandchildren (twelve-year old twins) went beyond our expectations. This beautiful seven-acre ocean retreat is situated on Florida’s gold coast with the Atlantic as its playground. Eau is one of the only two recipients of the Forbes Five-Star Resort Award in Palm Beach (there are only eight in Florida).
Accomodations… All the EAU rooms and suites, designed by Jonathan Adler, are spacious and offer private balconies with ocean, complimentary wi-fi, pool and gardens views. They feature a separate bedroom, living room and two bathrooms. Eau Lanai Terrace Suites are located on the ground level with views of the ocean and easy access to both pools. Club Suites include a personal concierge, indulgent meals in the Eric Villency-designed Club Lounge, unlimited beer and wine, and daily pressing service.
Activities… EAU offers something for everyone; tennis courts; a state-of-the-art Fitness Center; Bicycle Rentals to explore the Palm Beach; children’s activities; and private cabanas.
Poolside Private Cabanas… Your Cabana Host will customize your poolside packages, including bottled water service, personalized magazine selections, towel service, cold-pressed juices, and seasonal fruit plates. Additional indulgences run the gamut of a game-day television, bottles of Dom Perignon, chocolate covered strawberries, chef-inspired amenities, spa massages, and more.
Family Fun… The AquaNuts program (ages 5-12) offers a world of creativity. Children can scale a Climbing Reef, explore a Cave, hang out in the Lagoon, or visit a tech-savvy Grotto with gaming consoles. The underwater Oyster Pearl Theatre boasts a giant sandcastle stage for performances. And Coast Beauty Salon offers age-appropriate beauty treatments and makeovers!
EAU Spa… Kudos to Eau! Its spa is one of only forty-eight spas in the world to earn the prestigious Forbes Five-Star Spa Award for its full-service, 42,000 square feet wonderland. The Spa’s theme of “Pause-Play-Perfect” is the ultimate in relaxation, pampering, and rediscovery.
Special Events… EAU sets the hallmark for meetings, conventions, weddings, and family reunions. With over 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space for 10 to 1,000 people, events can be paired and customized in over 20 stylish locations. You can expect relaxed glamour and attentive, white-glove service.
Dining Options… There are several dining options and we tried them all! Al fresco lunches overlooking the ocean at TEMPLE ORANGE for dishes favoring a fusion of Mediterranean and Floridian fare; a casual dinner at Modern American for farm-to-fork cuisine with luxe ingredients, and a sumptuous evening in Angle. Upon entering Angle you’ll discover chocolate velvet walls, glowing candlelight, gilded mirrors, and an exquisite under-lit onyx and amber “Chef’s Table” in the center of the dining room. The cuisine is a food-lover’s delight; we feasted on Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras over a black sesame cake with poached pineapple; goat cheese-potato terrine aside roasted baby beets, Creekstone Farm prime Tomahawk, and Seafood Cioppino.
We skipped dessert at Angle so we could imbibe after-dinner drinks on the patio at Stir Bar and Terrace (the twins had hot cocoa and made S’mores over the open pit).
Dog-friendly… EAU is also dog-friendly, welcoming four-legged friends up to 25 lbs. (two dog limit per occupied room). Although a fee is required, a portion is donated to the Big Dog Ranch Rescue making it a win-win for everyone. Dogs can accompany guests (on a leash) in areas of the property and visit the EAU Pet Lawn.
Perfect escape… EAU, where ‘effortless living meets relaxed luxury’ is the perfect escape and I would return in a heartbeat!
