If its location in charming Belmond Charleston Place is not enough to tempt you to try Charleston Grill, then its menu, nightly world-class jazz, and sophisticated ambiance will have you racing for reservations.
Gifted Chef Michelle Weaver believes in locally-sourced seafood and farm fresh ingredients and relies on high quality ingredients from around the world to create her Southern, French, and globally-inspired recipes.
Split into four categories, each menu offers different tasting experiences – Pure, Lush, Southern and Cosmopolitan. A sampling of each includes roasted Palmetto squab with cracklings and pickled onions; Thai fish in a sweet and spicy broth; Norwegian trout with caponata; and lamb rack with mint Chimichurri.
The wine program at Charleston Grill has a reputation of pure brilliance thanks to their two sommeliers, Rick Rubel and Andrew Marshall. They’ve garnered numerous accolades including Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence”. With over 1,300 bottles, there is a wine to perfectly pair with each course. Charleston Grill also boasts the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for food excellence.
