The eclectic menu at August in Midtown Manhattan is reinvented “classic comfort food”. At the helm is Chef Mark Mata, a veteran of the TV show Chopped on Bravo Network. The restaurant’s decor is relaxed, accented with wood, eclectic art, stone and soft lighting. Sophisticated modern style starts in the dining room and expands to the kitchen with a diverse selection of entrees that range from seafood to steak and include such specialties as their Sliced Breast of Duckling, Onion Tarte Flambée, and Ahi Tuna on Crispy Rice. While the food is worth visiting for, the beverage program, with crafty cocktails like the Jalapeno Margarita, is no less creative and adds to the overall August dining experience. Open for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
