Peter Luger Steak House • NYC

Any chef can cook a steak but where it comes from and how it is handled plays an important role in how delicious it is.  At Peter Luger’s Steak House they do everything in-house and they do it right. Butchered on premises and dry-aged in their own on-site aging box, the restaurant has been satisfying discerning meat lovers for decades.

Starting off as Carl Luger’s Café, Billiards, and Bowling Alley in 1887, the restaurant is now owned and operated by Sol Forman and his family and has been considered one of New York’s top steak houses since 1984.

Although the perfectly aged USDA prime beef is certainly what you want to go for, the menu also consists of simple, delicious appetizers and sides, a number of seafood items, a delectable desert list that are well worth indulging. Do not forget to take home a bottle of their signature Steak Sauce.
