Located in the thriving midtown district of Savannah, Squirrel’s is a refined casual eatery, dishing up reinvented Italian fare. It’s helmed by Chef Chris Dickerson, chef-owner behind the semi-swank street eatery Corner Taco of Jacksonville, FL.
Guided by the spirit of Italian pizza craft techniques, both Neapolitan and Roman styles, Dickerson’s focus is crave-worthy, ingredient-rich pizzas, characterized by a crisp, airy crust and all-American ingredients. Pizzas are prepared in a live-fire, pecan-wood, custom-built Pavesi oven.
This is not your typical pizzeria. The space, crafted by Savannah-based designer Elizabeth Demos, features an approachable storied interior with old world European influence. In addition to pizzas, Squirrel’s menu includes sandwiches, salads, and small bites. Libations of interest are a selection of craft beers, a curated wine list, and sublime martinis.
