Founded in 1973, Café L’Europe remains one of Sarasota’s coveted dining experiences. It’s reputation is unparalleled, its service is impeccable, and its award-winning cuisine is delectable. The building was originally the real estate office of one of Sarasota’s most famous residents, John Ringling, of Ringling Brothers Circus fame.
Inspired by the elegance and ambiance of the popular De L’Europe Hotel in Amsterdam, this venue has remained true to its roots. Menu items like Dover Sole Meuniere, Potato-Crusted Grouper, and Chateaubriand (served table-side) epitomize old world classics that are certain to please.
Although they have an outstanding wine list, they offer a corkage fee of $25 per bottle (2 bottle limit) as long as your wine is not on their wine list.
