Eating Europe Food Tours

The Company

Since 2011 Eating Europe has guided over 200,000 travelers to the best local eats in Europe’s greatest cities. Their mission is simple – to provide travelers with an unparalleled, non-touristy, food-related experience in undiscovered neighborhoods.

Founder/Managing Director Kenny Dunn had traveled extensively around the world for years before he settled in Rome in 2009. His most endearing experiences entailed food and his passion grew for European cuisine. He found himself returning to his favorite foodie haunts when family and friends visited. Soon, he turned his casual neighborhood strolls into actual tours. In 2011, Eating Italy Food Tours was born! Eating Italy Food Tours soon became Eating Europe. The company’s team and destinations continue to grow and today are sharing a taste of local life in nine cities across Europe.

Today, you can delightfully taste local life with Eating Europe in Rome, Florence, London, Amsterdam, Prague, Naples, Lisbon, Strasbourg, Paris

East End London tour: I participated in an exciting food tour of East End London! Our meeting place was at the Old Spitalfields Market. We entered the Huguenots gate and easily located our ‘Eating Europe/Eating London’ check-in. Introductions were made and our small group of 6 meandered on our adventure. Cara, our guide was bubbly and informative, as she covered food, culture, architecture, history, and her life in London.

The Tastings: We enjoy six food tastings from a range of locations, from bakeries, to pubs – delicately fried fish and chips with ‘mushy peas’, a legendary bacon sandwich, a curry dish form one of London’s top 10 Indian restaurants, a bagel stuffed with melt-in-your mouth salt beef, an outrageous caramel tart, a cheesemonger’s selection, bread-and-butter pudding, local beer and cider. 3 1/2 hours literally flew by!
Eating Europe will adapt for Vegetarian, Gluten-free & Allergies. Tours are reasonably-priced. Perfect for gatherings of any occasion.

TIPS for the Tour: Wear flat shoes to be comfortable; Bring a bottle of water (although there are drinks stops throughout the tour); Arrive 10 minutes early so the tour can start on time; Come hungry! You’ll be tasting lots of food!; Gratuities for guides are appreciated.

* Editor’s Note: You’re in for a real treat with Eating Europe Tours! I am looking forward to joining Eating Europe on another food tour. I have my eye on their “once-in-a-lifetime culinary adventure in Tuscany – truffle hunting with trusty dogs that are trained to detect truffles, followed by a truffle lunch with wine at a cozy Tuscan ‘fattoria’ (farm).
