Few culinary experiences are as enjoyable as a hands-on class at Taste Buds Kitchen in downtown Providence. Located in a custom-designed teaching kitchen, the venue offers interactive cooking classes that bring people together through food, learning, and fun.
I surprised my husband Charles with “date night” and participated in a class featuring Classic French Countryside • Coq au Vin • Crepes • Berry Coulis • Lyonnaise Potatoes • Green Salad • Lemon Vinaigrette. It is a BYOB-friendly experience so we stopped by Gasbarro’s on Federal Hill earlier in the day to select a wine for the evening. Under the guidance of experienced chef instructor Annie, we learned essential culinary skills, ingredient preparation, cooking methods, and presentation techniques. 
The chefs at Taste Buds Kitchen are known for making cooking approachable and entertaining for every skill level, from complete beginners to seasoned home cooks. During classes, instructors demonstrate each recipe step-by-step before guests work collaboratively at their tables to prepare the featured menu. The hands-on format ensures that everyone actively participates in preparing the meal and then sits down to enjoy the finished dishes together. Our coq au vin was delicious!
Classes are the perfect experience for couples seeking a fun date night, friends celebrating special occasions, corporate groups participating in team-building events, and food enthusiasts eager to explore new cuisines. The venue welcomes adults, families, children, private parties, and corporate groups, making it suitable for a wide variety of occasions. Classes are held seven days a week in a nut-free facility, with options available for various dietary needs.
