Home to nearly 10,000 animals of over 500 species, the aquarium excites visitors with exhibits highlighting life on a Caribbean reef and in the Amazon rainforest, sea life in the Gulf of Mexico, and fish, fowl and reptiles living in the Mississippi River. You can go behind-the-scenes for an up-close encounter with penguins. You can snorkel in their Great Maya Reef and see the show at the Giant Screen Theater. The aquarium is a stones throw away from the Algiers Ferry, making it a great stop and a fun-filled adventure.
