The goal of the Country Music Hall of Fame is two-fold… to honor thy music and to keep the history of country music alive! In honoring classic and modern Country artists, the Country Music Hall of Fame has collected and preserved one-of-a-kind memorabilia in its permanent exhibition of celebrated treasures.
The building serves to showcase such unique items such as Elvis Presley’s Cadillac limousine, over 800 outfits and 600 instruments used by iconic celebrities, and stage equipment from microphones to sheet music that have personally served to document the history of Country music throughout the decades.
It is a magical tribute to world renown stars such as Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels, Jerry Reed, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Kacey. Musgraves, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, and many, many more.
The Museum’s architecture is a tribute to the design and materials of Southern culture and music. The Rotunda displays the Carter Family’s “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” and a diamond-shaped WSM radio tower in the center. The front wall of the building is fashioned in the shape of a bass clef. Inside the museum are vinyl disc shaped tiers and indigenous Yellow Pine floors. And visible inside and out are piano-key-styled windows running along the length of the building.
Election to the Country Music Hall of Fame is country music’s highest honor. The Country Music Association (CMA) created the accolade to recognize significant contributions to the advancement of country music by individuals. The first members were Jimmie Rodgers, Fred Rose, and Hank Williams, all inducted in 1961.

The Country Music Hall of Fame also houses Hatch Show Print Store, one of America’s oldest working letterpress shops creating one-of-a-kind prints for more than a century. You can take home a souvenir poster of country music’s history.
