Delaney Oyster House • Charleston

The Neighborhood Dining Group’s newest restaurant venture in Charleston- Delaney Oyster House, a raw bar and seafood-focused restaurant opening in downtown Charleston this summer. Honoring the Lowcountry’s significance as a coastal region and inspired by America’s traditional oyster houses, the restaurant will feature fresh, sustainable seafood in a casual-chic atmosphere.

Led by Chef Shamil Velazquez (formerly of Husk Greenville), the menu will showcase the bounty of coastal and inland waterways, and a dedication to seasonality and sustainability, featuring an extensive raw bar selection and thoughtfully presented dishes in both classic and contemporary preparations. Delaney Oyster House is driven by the preservation of biodiversity throughout surrounding waterways.

The restaurant is located in the Charleston Single House, formerly known as The Delaney House. Built in the 1830s, the 2-story space was previously home to generations of the Delaney family, and notable tenants such as author Ludwig Lewisohn, throughout the decades. The design preserves and enhances the historical, natural architecture of the space. Seating on both floors offer an open-air dining experience, complete with views of the adjacent Marion Square city center.

Neighborhood Dining Group venues also include Husk, McCrady’s, McCrady’s Tavern, and Minero.
