Alain Ducasse is one of the world’s most decorated chefs, known for top French cuisine as well as for creating innovative international dining concepts. Winner of 3-Michelin stars since 2010, the stylishly contemporary Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is home to some of London’s finest modern French cuisine.
The contemporary dining room is elegant, featuring natural fabrics of leather, wood and cotton. Walls studded with thousands of silk buttons in different shades of green is a quirky touch. The centerpiece of the restaurant is the stunning “Table Lumière,” a private room surrounded by 4,500 shimmering fiber optics dropping dramatically from the ceiling, surrounding a table set with specially selected Hermès china, Puiforcat silverware, and Saint-Louis crystal.Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet’s cuisine focuses on seasonal ingredients from Britain and France, such as Seared Duck Foie Gras with wild rocket and apricot; and the Fillet of Turbot with green almonds and girolles. A Jardin menu is available for vegetarians, featuring dishes such as Pea Voluté with Ricotta Gnocchi and Basil. A curated wine cellar houses bottles to enhance any meal. The dress code at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is smart-elegant; sportswear and sneakers are not allowed in the dining room. Hyde Park Corner Tube Station is a 7-minute walk away.
