The Audubon Butterfly Garden & Insectarium of New Orleans is a great place to take curious children an explore! There are more than 900,000 different species. With exhibits such as a simulated Louisiana Swamp and the opportunity to be shrunk the size of a bug there is plenty to do in addition to looking at insects. The Hall of Fame showcases amazing specimens and there’s a café with insect-themed fare. This 23,000-square-foot museum offers an exciting look into a world often overlooked and acts as a learning experience for the entire family in a fun environment.
