This internationally acclaimed restaurant, located just a few steps away from the Pantheon, is owned by Omar and Rachelle Capparuccini, a couple with a deep passion for cuisine. They originally met in Milan in 2001 and in 2005, decided to follow their true vocation and opened a small restaurant in Vasto, in the Abruzzo region. The restaurant quickly gained the appreciation of the clientele for its amazing cuisine.
In 2009, the couple decided to take on a more ambitious challenge and opened Casa Coppelle. The couple secured a spot in the historic district and started taking “educational” trips to discover the most interesting hospitality venues from New York to Paris. They fall in love with the style of Jacques Garcia, known for his work on the Paris Hôtel Costes and the Hôtel Majestic in Cannes. Garcia transformed it into a work of art in a class by itself.
The restaurant features a warm and sophisticated atmosphere with a perfect combination of opulence and intimacy. The colors, lights, and materials add to the senses. Each room has its own unique design – “breathing the atmosphere of a 1800’s English club combined with the Italian expressivity and liveliness”, as expressed by Garcia.
The cuisine is equally impressive. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes. Favorites include; Foie gras al torchon aromatizzato all’armagnac col suo pan brioche, “Torchon foie gras flavored with Armagnac with pan brioche”, the Black cod alla barbabietola su radicchio tardivo marinato all’aceto di lamponi, riso selvatico soffiato e pancetta croccante “Beetroot black cod on radicchio marinated in raspberry vinegar, puffed wild rice and crispy bacon” and the Filetto di maiale in crosta di senape e pistacchi, crema di patate dolci e cavolo cappuccio brasato all’arancia –“Mustard and pistachio crusted pork tenderloin, sweet potato, braised cabbage with orange.”
The restaurant is under the guidance of Emiliano Pascucci, sous chef of Pergola del Rome Cavalieri (3 Michelin stars), and the touch of the highly experienced Executive Chef. The restaurant also features a great bar and boasts an extensive wine list, featuring a diverse selection of wines from all over Italy.
Casa Coppelle Ristorante’s unique history, impeccable service, stunning cuisine and ambiance, make it an unforgettable experience. The perfect destination when in Rome.
